This Kunming and Xishuangbanna Classic Tour will take you to Xishuangbanna to have a close touch with elephant, to Jianshui to admire the Confucius Temple, to Yuanyang to marvel at the amazing rice Terraces.
Itinerary Details Day by Day
Day 1 Kunming Arrival
Welcome to Kunming, the Spring City of China! Upon arrival at the Kunming airport/train station, You will meet our local tour guide and driver in the arrival hall and they will escort you to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for you to have some rest or take a stroll in the streets.
Day 2 Kunming flight to Jinghong ( B, L )
This morning, you will take a flight to Jinghong in Xishuangbanna. Upon arrival at the airport, you will meet our local tour guide and driver in the arrival hall and they will escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will travel to the Wild Elephant Valley in Sanchahe Nature Reserve. Here, you could appreciate the wild elephants herding and moving in companies, watch the trained elephants performing dancing, greeting and bathing as well as admire the amazing tropical rainforest landscape.

Day 3 Jinghong ( B, L )
Today, we will transfer you to Menglun along the Mekong River to visit the Tropical Botanical Garden. On the way, visit the local market, a minority family and the temple in Ganlanba.

Day 4 Jinghong ( B, L )
The excursion will take you to Menghai in the morning to explore the Jingzhen Octagonal Pavilion, the Aini People's Village and the Tea Plantation.
In the afternoon, you will return to Jinghong and visit the Manting Park, the oldest park in Xishuangbanna. This is a place where you could enjoy beautiful scenery, appreciate unique constructions and taste traditional culture of the Dai People.

Day 5 Jinghong flight to Kunming, Kunming - Jianshui ( B, L )
Take a morning flight to Kunming. Today you will visit the renowned Stone Forest, the 'First Wonder of the World'. It is amazing for the stones formed like that which makes you feel like come into a “stone world”.
Afterwards, head to Jianshui.

Day 6 Jianshui ( B, L )
In the morning, our private car will take you to visit the well-perserved Jianshui Confucian Temple. Built in 1285, this temple enjoys the second largest temple after Qufu Temple in Shandong Province. Afterwards, you will discover the Zhu Family Garden. The visit today will end with a visit to Jianshui Ancient Town, famed as the 'Museum of Ancient Constructions'.

Day 7 Jianshui - Yuanyang ( B, L )
Get up in the morning, you will have a chance to be enchanted by the sunrise in Duoyishu. And then you will find yourself being attracted by the fabulous rice terraces under the sunshine and cloud and mist in this region.
After the sightseeing of the rice terraces, move to the Hani Minority Village to have a close touch with the creator of thess legend. You’ll meet with the lovely mushroom houses Hani people build and colorful ethnic garment of Hani women.

Day 8 Yuanyang - Kunming( B, L )
Enjoy good breakfast in the Yuanyang hotel, then Your tour today begins with a visit to a local market, a brilliant scene in Yuanyang when the locals flock in from all quarters wearing their colorful costumes and dresses. After that, drive back to Kunming. Along the way is parades of beautiful landscape. You may pass Kunming Ethnic Village and Dianchi Lake by. Just keep in good mood and feast on all these beautiful sceneries.
